Iam a Florida resident and had a horrible innocent at our local grocery store. The store is one of the largest grocery stores in Florida and I was physically hit and verbally attacked by an employee after making a verbal complaint to the assistant store manager. To make this story as short as I possibly can without leaving out major details, I have shopped at this store for over 20 years and have made many pleasant personal relationships with many kind employees of this store, knowing many on a first name basis. On a Wed. evening I attempted to call my cold cut order into the deli, a very RUDE women answered the phone, rudely told me to hold and dangled the phone so I could hear the loud rude voice of her continue to others. After being on hold for almost 10 min she comes back, yells in the phone that I need to keep holding and dangles to continue being rude to everyone. By the way this is 8:30pm. I continued holding for approximately 5-7 min before hanging up calling back speaking to another employee, explaining to her what happened, how horribly rude this women is and nobody should be treated this way. I told her who I thought it was, placed my order and she apologized. I hung up with her sending my husband to pick my order but was still very upset of how I was treated. I then proceeded to call back to speak to the manager of the store only to get the assist. manager, he listened to my story, apologized and said he would handle it. On Wed. evening I called the store like I always do, placed my order, was told 20 min for pickup and hung up. I did place my order with a male this time. I arrived at the deli, received my order and started walking away but hearing screaming behind me. I was on the phone with my sister not paying much attention to the craziness that was going on until it was right behind me. This woman, who I could barely understand was coming after me. I turned to try and understand what she was saying and when doing so she was screaming about me complaining about her, hitting my left shoulder with her hand and screaming her name at me. This when on for approximately 2-4 minutes, my sister hearing the entire incident over the phone and a young employee watching. I told her I did complain, not knowing who she was and that now I know by her actions I actually complained using the wrong name. She continued screaming, hitting my shoulder and when I told her I was going to complain about her now because she was shoving her name tag in my face and I needed to apologize for using the incorrect names, she didn't like that. I attempted to get away from her but she followed me yelling. She only stopped when she saw a stock manager coming up an isle to see what the commotion was. This very nice stock manager and the employee that witnessed the entire thing came to me to make sure I was ok. I was upset, nervous and couldn't believe what happened to me. After speaking to the girls I felt confident someone would take care of this situation and at least call me. After 5 days nothing. I returned to the store on the following Monday with 5 kids, stopped to talk to the assistant deli manger and another deli employee. They all heard what happened to me and was asking me if I was ok. We we're not by the deli counter but could see it in the distance. Not only was she still there working, she looked at me walked across the entire deli with this horrible look on her face as to say ha ha Im still hear and I'll get you. Being very upset, I took the kids up to the front of the store, paid for my groceries and wanted to get out of there very fast. I was scared she may do something again and I had my kids with me. I did stop at the front desk asking for the store manager. He came out of his office he knew who I was and said he was happy I came to see him. I told him I wasn't happy I needed to come see him and if possible could he please come outside so we can discuss the situation with his deli employee. I told him how upset I was and that I couldn't believe nobody called me to discuss what happen. We discussed the incident and he told me he saw the entire incident on the video and he could only apologize and let me know he is going to handle it. I did not believe him at all. I told him I was going to call corporate he asked me not to as he was going to handle it. I went home very upset that this woman is still there, I just do not know what she is capable of. My husband came home from work shortly after, seeing how upset I was that this women is still there taunting me as if she is going to do something else. He called that store, spoke to an assistant manger and said he wanted the manager to call him this evening. My husband told him he wanted a meeting with him, his boss and himself. This is unexeptable that an employee put her hands on my wife. District manager called the next day told him he would handle it. What r my legal rights? I need to make sure this does not happen.
