May a non-licensed Alternative & Complimentary practitioner

This answer was rated:

May a non-licensed Alternative & Complimentary practitioner give a gift to a licensed provider in Minnesota who refers a patient for my services, if I do so without suggesting this will be common practice or advertising it, just after the fact with a thank-you note?
It is good to ask this question now.

I agree with the Board. I do not think it would fly either. You can give a gift around Christmas but do not give a gift at any time near when you get a referral or it will look like a kick back.

Good luck.
