Before you replace the screen, a reset should be tried. See below.
Procedure to Reset the Display Before Replacement
Follow the steps below to reset the display if the following occur:
- Screen locks up with only three LED lights on.
- Screen locks up with the Cat logo
- Screen does not power up
Below is a schematic for the screens.
It should be preprogrammed but, it may have the old software installed.
If it gives strange codes for the engine or screen it may need updating.
They can be flashed by USB now.
