It is very important to know the complete model and serial number of the machine from the machines ID tag. Some of the smaller machines may have been 12 V rather than 24 V which is common on the full-size equipment. Your 24 V machine is going to be wired in series to get 24 V while the 12 V is going to be parallel. Check your alternator and starter motor assembly for its model in order to determine if the machine is 12 V or 24 V. Otherwise, grab the complete model information from the machines identification tag. Once the actual model is identified, it can be determined 12 or 24 V. If this is a full-size loader, chances are it will likely be 24 V. I hope you find this information helpful. Reply back with the results of these checks if any further help is needed.
