Having trouble removing gland nut inside 416 tilt cylinder

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the complete model and serial number of your machine?

I don't have this info with me but this machine is a 416 b that we bought new about18 yrs. ago.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing this yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes we are repairing ourselves. We have the tilt cylinder apart but cannot get the 3 inch nut loose to replace seals

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the equipment mechanic to know before I connect you?

No, we just need to remove the nut

Hello,

I am sorry but to find the details for your cylinder, I will need the serial number.

I am not sure which cylinder you are describing. Is it the front loader, or on the backhoe.

All the cylinders I am looking at now have a bolt, no nut.
