Hello! Let's see if we can work together and come to a satisfactory conclusion!
Manually engaged dif ock. or an electric switch on the dash? Switch s the normal set up, meaning there is an electric solenoid used to engage the differential lock. Is the solenoid getting voltage from the switch when it is on? The solenoid has o have voltage to work. No voltage to the solenoid will be wire harness problem. If solenoid gets voltage, the solenoid may have failed.
No. I do not. Let me opt out and see if anyone else has Volvo information. The pedal switch has to have voltage, and the solenoid will be on the rear axle.
Hi My name is ***** ***** check to see whether the lock is engaging, jack up one side and verify the wheel spins. Then engage the lock it should hold firm. Optionally jack up both side make sure they spin by hand. then rotate and the tires will rotate in opposite directions freewheeling then engage lock they should join as one. That is how I check the loaders at any rate.
this is what I could locate so foar on schematic 4601 being the lock solenoid and the location
