3044 engine? Mechanical injection pump and external injector nozzles. The injection pump is not being turned on to the run position. What does it have for a fuel shutoff solenoid, and does it open as soon as the key is turned on?

Correct engine
The 12v wire to the fuel shut off solenoid has power.
This is a new cell annoyed that I have put on recently. I think I hear it clicking making a noise making me think that his opening and closing properly.
How can I verify this.

Take it out and with it attached to the harness, turn key on and off and watch the operation.

Keep in mind I am no mechanic and I am fumbling my way through this.
Do I have to take the injector pump apart
taking the lid off of it to be able to remove that solenoid or is there another way?

I don't know what the solenoid looks like on this one. Is it under the cover, with two leads to it? Most are external and have one wire and just screw out.??

One wire and yes it external but my neighbor helped me and for whatever reason he took the top Off of the injector pump I think because it was difficult to get to the solenoid is on the backside of the injector pump which is further up into the engine compartment with not much access in the skid steer.I will try to access it and remove that tomorrow and test it watching it move showing that it is coming on and off and will follow up with you later thank you so much

No, skid steer hydraulic motors have no freewheel.
