Mechanic's Assistant: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts.

I am having trouble figuring out the hydraulic controls for the hyd quick attach on my L190 skid steer

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing this yourself? What have you tried so far?

Just sitting in the machined looking for the right sequence, machine works well just trying to change from a bucket to pallet forks

This is if you have the instrument cluster going up and down on the right cab post.

HYDRAULIC ATTACHMENT MOUNTING
PLATE (OPTIONAL)
If equipped, efficient changing of lift arm mounted
attachments is possible by the optional Hydraulic
Attachment Mounting Plate. The hydraulic mounting
plate allows the operator to attach buckets and tools
while remaining in the operator’s seat.

Mounting an Attachment With the Hydraulic
Mounting Plate
The operator may efficiently change a lift arm
mounted attachment, while remaining in the
operator’s seat, with this optional mounting plate.
Activating the hydraulic attachment mounting plate is
a two step operation.
• Activate any loader or auxiliary function to the
end of its control stroke -- foot pedal, hand lever,
or joystick lever.
• Press the Hydraulic Mounting Plate momentary
switch in the lock or unlock direction,
depending on the function required, until the
indicator brackets on the coupler are in the
correct position.vg

To Attach a Bucket or Other Attachment:
1. Slightly extend the bucket cylinders and place
the top of the mounting plate under the lip on the
back of the bucket.
2. Curl the attachment back towards the skid steer
until it is completely back and off the ground.
3. Activate any loader or auxiliary function to the
end of its control stroke -- foot pedal, hand lever
or joystick lever.
4. Press the hydraulic mounting plate momentary
switch in the lock position until the indicator
brackets, 1, on the coupler extend to the locked
position noted on the decal.
5. Before using the attachment, the operator must
operate it through its full range of motion and
confirm that the attachment is secure and safe.

Removing the Attachment with the Hydraulic
Mounting Plate
To remove a Bucket or Attachment:
1. Position the bucket or attachment above the
dismount surface.
2. Activate any loader or auxiliary function to the
end of its control stroke -- foot pedal, hand lever
or joystick lever.
3. Press the Hydraulic Mounting Plate momentary
switch in the unlock position until the indicator
brackets on the coupler extend to the unlocked
position noted on the decal.
4. Place the bucket or attachment on the dismount
surface, roll the coupler out and back away from
the attachment.
5. When the mounting plate is unlocked the
hydraulic cylinder will be retracted and the
indicator bracket, 2, will be pointing to the opened
lock decal.

The hydraulic mounting plate electrical circuit is
protected by a 5 amp fuse. The fuse is located in the
fuse panel, 1.

The switch appears to be a home built affair, I can hear the solenoid click but nothing I activate will make the arms move. I ended up using a bar to force locking pins up to make the change. We tried basically all the points you suggested. I will check the fuses, but again I could hear the solenoid over the engine noise. I will run a voltage check on the electrical to the solenoid as well.
Mechanic: dd85, Technician replied 4 years ago

With the solenoid clicked you should move as to dump or curl bucket to move the cylinder.

Is the cylinder moving at all?

If you disconnect the cylinder and try it unhooked does it move?
