Boom lift. What does it do? Has high speed when it is up?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
High speed all the time
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

On the boom, there is proximity switch, that has to make , to cut out high speed. It is a magnetic switch. Locate it and see if it is out of position or broken. Will be at the boom pivot point.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

Can be an arm switch, instead of a magnetic switch!

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
There are two of them and don't appear to be broken. If I remember rite this machine used to go in creep in any position. It has been broken for two years so I'm not sure. It was going in and out of creep by itself and when it was in creep I could hear a slight humming sound the sound would go away when the creep did not work.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

Check both switches with a volt/ohm meter for continuity when energized.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Checking them now
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I also changed a oil filled switch on the hydrolic pump. It was leaking and we thought it was our problem but it didn't change anything. Would anything need to be adjusted for that switch to work properly. Both arm switches have continuity
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Also the wheel speed from rabbit to turtle does not work.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

Do the switches make contact and work when boom is raised?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
With ohm meter the limit switch make contact in both ways on boom
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

So the lever trips and switch opens?

Do you have wiring diagram and service manual? From the JLG site?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
No
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

Go to Resouses , and find the manual. link below.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
It went into turtle and creep with boom down so I could load it on a trailer befor. So why won't it do it now. I guess I'm not understanding why it's the switches. Going to Manuel now
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

I can't get my computer to download it today!

Customer: replied 1 month ago.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 month ago.

Troubleshooting

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
This downloads the Manuel but when I scroll down to trouble shooting it is blacked out for some reason. Tried it ten times and same response. Need to know where the hydrolic spool that shifts wheel speed is on the machine. Had many macanics with lots of experience try to figure this out. The manuals are not very helpfull for my problem. Most are telling me it's a stuck spool but can't find where on the machine it is located
Expert:  Dan replied 1 month ago.

I see one of the manuals were missing I uploaded.... Click this link... There should be 3.... Parts, service, and operators. The parts manual will show all your component locations, part numbers, and diagrams.
