310G has the electric fuel shutoff in the top of the injection pump. The two wires to it, have to have power as long as the key is on. The second wire is the negative side, completing the circuit. If you have power and no ground, solenoid will not activate, and engine will not start. Check for ground at the second wire, or try a jumper wire to complete the ground when it will not start, but you may have already tightened up the wires and problem is no more! Thanks,
