Problem- 310SG backhoe would not startemits white smoke while cranking
fuel available at all points in fuel system.
new fuel filters
outside temp 60 degreesdiagnostics involved-blead fuel system and installed new fuel filter.
cranked and found limited amount of fuel at injectorschecked voltage at fuel pump shut off solenoid terminalno voltage while cranking when completing circuit using multimeter
when used chasis ground i had 9Vchecked continuity between wires to ECU/ECMhad continuity at + and - wires to ecu conectorwas going to check for ground wire continuity at ecm by back probing plugginfound that Timing sensor was unplugged (individual was using unit to clear trees, branch must have knocked off pluggin)checked for voltage at solenoid socket i now had voltageunit started with little effort.ecm did not recognize engine was rotating so it wouldnt allow shuttoff solenoid to be engaged
