Customer Question

On my 2005 JCB 214s steering keeps going out of phase. It has gone so far out of phase I had to bleed steering cylinder to unlock steering, but still goes out of phase . I left it in two wheel steer but back wheels don't stay strait. I have also noticed a leak at the center of the machine by fuel tank , wonder if its causing the steering problem?
JA: What is the complete model and serial number of your machine?
Customer: I will have to get it the machines numbers, it is on the job site right now and is hard to move with out steering.
JA: Anything else you want the equipment mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hello! Let's see if we can work together and come to a satisfactory conclusion!

The steering cylinders cause this if they have internal leakage or any leakage that lets the fluid drain from a cylinder. Form your description, I would be looking at the rear steer cylinders. It may be easier to reseal the cylinder than try to test each one!
