I have a John Deere 318D skid steer. The left foot peddle for the boom up/down will not move for the boom to operate. Seems to be stuck. What is the problem?

See the link above. The control valve has two solenoid valves that lock the spools for lift and bucket. One is not opening, locking your boom. Check it for voltage, and if it has voltage, the valve may be bad, you can swap the two valves to see if it is the solenoid. Both should release when the seat/park brake function is released.
