I do not believe it has a screen.

Do you have the machine serial number?

Expert:  catmastertech replied 12 months ago.

I do see the old 7ZB serial numbers has strainers in it but, it is not detailed as to how fine it is.

Expert:  catmastertech replied 12 months ago.

The only way to access them is to remove the tank and disassembly it.

The last IT 18 F model is built the same way so, I would assume all do have strainers installed inside the tank.

Don't forget to replace suction hoses to the pump and all seals. Noisey pumps can be from air leaking into old hoses or weak clamps.

If you see the oil is aerated or foamy, that is likely the issue.

There are 3 strainer screens in the tank which can be accessed through the filter hole once it is removed and oil is drained

I am sorry for the late reply, I had travelled out of town and did not have access.

Unless you have supplemental steering, I think only two strainers are used. I had not thought of going through the filter hole, that is very clever.

I was assuming you would need to clean the tank anyway and the best way is to remove the tank and open it.
