I have a JCB Vibromax VM1500 that I bought used. It slides a little too readily down slopes and I think it is due to worn tread on the roller drums. Is it acceptible to weld additional pieces to the the roller to raise the profile of the 'roller bumps'?

Yes as long as they are 3/4 inch steel anything less probably will not handle the pressure let me know if you need more info
