1964 Ford 4000 gasoline. Started, ran great and just quit

Customer Question

1964 Ford 4000 gasoline. Started, ran great and just quit all at once with no warning. Will not even turn over with a new battery. Is not out of fuel. Cleaned the connections on the solenoid and ground places. Hooking the battery directly to the starter and ground on the frame the engine will turn over but not start with the key on or off. HELP

Fuse good between the starter solenoid and the keyswitch? Keyswitch has to get battery voltage direct from the same terminal that the battery cable attaches to at the starter solenoid. The engine will not start with you jumping the starter because the coil does not have battery voltage to the posiitve side of it.
