Early 1980's Fiat Allis Crawler Loader FL-5 w/ approx.

Customer Question

For an early 1980's Fiat Allis Crawler Loader FL-5 w/ approx. 30K plus hours. Had engine rebuilt (new head, pistons, etc. and new injection pump, injectors, timing reset, etc.) No problem with machine getting fuel. Starts very easily and runs well UNTIL you go into a pile of material. Machine then loses power to complete task. You reverse and all is okay until you try again. No one locally can help. Any suggestions? Thanks- Jerry Chesnic. Presently outdoors but will be brought inside once weather subsides (very cold).

Hi Jerry, My name is***** will be glad to try to help. If the engine runs great with no fuel system restrictions etc or turbo and boost problems then the problem is likely hydraulic or torque converter/transmission. Check the oil/filter/strainer for signs of metal indicating an internal problem and also check your pressures to confirm if they are within specs. Let me know
