I have just purchased a hd11b dozer serial no 2235 i can not

I have just purchased a hd11b dozer serial no 2235 i can not adjust tracks . On the track adjuster spring housing there is a oil plug on side i took it out and the book says there should be oil in it. there is none.It appears part no of track adjusters is t-32108.When you put grease in to pressurize it come out around seal.Do you have any good ideas what i need to do to fix my problems?The book says they are hydraulic adjusters. Please e mail me at acklesallan this is a seal problem where can i get them? Thank you for your time.

Hi I'm Wayne

I will help you with this

Yes your seals a worn out ,if the grease is coming out the sides

but the problem here is it is a difficult job, even for a trained Tech

the track needs to be split , then the drive gear , then you will need a hoist

and com-along to get track stretched back to place

Wayne, Do you need to have oil in track adjuster housing to make adjuster work or is it just to lube spring?Do you know where i can buy new seals part no.628934 need 4also 2 666407 pressurizing fittings,2666621 ring wear release yoke,2 666620 ring wear adjusting piston. hope to hear from you soon.Thanks Allan.

no, you do not have to have oil in there,

it keeps the spring from rusting and breaking
