My 4020 will only steer in one direction. Bleeding the air

Customer Question

My 4020 will only steer in one direction. Bleeding the air out of the system solves the problem for a short time. You gradually lose the ability to steer in one direction until you bleed the air form the steering valve. Is something in the steering motor bad?

Steering motor at the front axle will be the problem area!

Spring and valves need to be checked and the seals replaced. The steering valve at hand wheel would just keep freewheeling if it were bad.
