my 1970 4000 3 cyl ford started smoking and overheating while mowing of a field. now it has a noticeable miss and smokes, very hard to start, #2 cyl appears to be the problem, where do I go from here

If valves are not moving on the # ***** cylinder, I assume the pushrods are in place and not moving? Valves not moving either is pushrods off or damaged, or camshaft. I don't see how camshaft would break and engine would still run.
