Customer Question

Hi. I have recently aquired a 225b excavator. I've had to drain the hydraulic tank and replace a number of hoses, including the main suction hoses, hoses from the pumps to valve bodies, main drive hoses, etc. Anyway, .I installed all the new hoses, filled the hydraulic tank and started the engine. Ran the engine for about 5 minutes, nothing hydraulic works. Do I need to bleed air out of the lines? If so, where abouts do i bleed? Thanks, John

Yes, bleed out the lines at the pumps. Also check the case of the pump for oil. Make sure all are full. Check you pilot pressure pump for oil too. See if the safety valve is getting pressure.
