My 1996 New Holland 555E backhoe has lost all power. No

Customer Question

My 1996 New Holland 555E backhoe has lost all power. No hydraulics, power steering, or transmission functions. I hear a brief noise when I first start the engine. I suspect the engine is not turning the drive line.
Can you give ideas on what to look for and how to get to it?

The torque converter is turned by flex plate on the flywheel. Loosen transmission cooler line and see if there is oil flowing when engine is running.

No oil, the torque converter pump is not turning. ANd engine/transmission has t be split.

The flex plate bolts were sheared off on the torque converter. Do you have any torque specs?
