Got a Wisconsin vh4d that has a hole in the cylinder

Well yea around one of the head bolts and the number one on the distributor is like 180 different from my other W4-1770 can you just set your distributor any where as long as your firing order is correct

Ok that's what I was thinking ok another thing is that the contact on the points(on the lever side)was missing and laying in the distributor would that have anything to do with my issue because it would still start and run just popping like hell out of the hole in the head and on the other bank It was getting ready to burn the head gasket any idea what could be my problem

It was cylinder number 3 that burnt the hole and number 4 was starting to burn a hole in the gasket

Now I put a timing light on it before I started tearing it apart cause the damage had already been done and I didn't mark anything specific but just shot an area and was watching the vane it lit up and it would stay pretty static but then it would jump around a little and then settle back down for a few seconds then move around again and so on any idea on that I'm pretty slick on things but it's it's got me stumped

So what's your opinion on it what would you do? By the way all four cylinders look awesome and are good and tight with minimal wear I don't think it's got many hours on it at all but I also heard that the bobcat M610 had a larger hydraulic pump and had an extra roller bearing in the distributor housing to help with wear but all that seems pretty tight in my opinion and the distributor is tight also ,I'm at a loss

Yes I did and thank you for that I got a manual also just in case I need one. I just hate to waste the money on a head if it's going to do it again.

Oh I've had it about a year and I know them Ole motors are tough as nails. Just needing some good solid a dive which way I should go with it
