Customer Question

I have an early 90s Ford New Holland L175 Skid steer Loader.
The problem it has is when I raise the boom it spews out hydraulic fluid in great volume from the hydraulic tank breather. This problem has recently occurred after years of use. I could not find anything in the workshop manual with this problem. I have dismantled the control valve unit and all seems good. Re fitted to the unit but the problem is still there.

Are you sure of the Model "L175" ? Wondering because they didn't make the L175 until January 2007 ?

You are talking about the fill cap on the right side? Correct?
There is a hose from the front hydraulic pump to the reservoir. Make sure the hose clamps are tight, and the hose doesn’t have any cracks in it.
This could cause air to enter the hydraulic system.
There is a suction screen that may need cleaning.
