Hello i have a s...

Hello i have a s 185 lift arms will not raise and when you get them to they jerk real bad. Tilt lift light is flashing . It moves froward and tilts just dont want to raise keep messing with it on and off it my work sometimes. Not sure how to check codes. Full of hydraulic fluid. belt is tight this is intermediate problem sometimes works sometimes dont. Newer machine with key less system say 2006 or so

Verified

If the lift/tilt LED light on the BICS panel is flashing, you should hear 3 beeps as well. If so, when you hear those beeps push the headlight button and hold it down, this will bring up the active code(s) in the hour meter display. Let me know what codes it brings up.

May i add also that the light is flashing after cranking machine and lowering lap bar. Just cranked it up and not flashing now lifts and tilts but jerks and makes a loud bang noise when lifting or lowering arms like hydraulic pressure hits with 3000 psi all at once.

Ok, hard for me to say just yet what's causing that noise. But one thing we do know, if the lift/tilt LED is flashing then there is a fault. We need to get that fault code and see if we can noodle this out.

Has of now its not flashing would it also store codes instrument cluster on right side screen now as lines running up and down very faintly. Can i get codes if light not blinking now

Hmm, that's a good question, and I must admit one I've never tried, never tried to retrieve codes when no faults are active, I honestly can't say about that. I suppose it would be no loss though, depress and hold down the headlight switch and see it if does display codes in the hour meter display. But we sure would like to see a code when a fault happens. Let me know what you come up with.
