Good afternoon James, I would like some help with a problem please. On 12 June 2021 I ordered two items from Amazon on my computer. On the order page there was a section which asked if I wanted to join Amazon Prime for a one month trial. I didn't want to join but I found that I couldn't complete the order unless I ticked the box to join. I didn't want to be a member of Amazon Prime and I've never used it. I subsequently had a closer look at my credit card statement and I found that I have been charged $6.99 for July, August and September for an Amazon Prime membership. I was never asked if I wanted to join up following the free trial nor have I given permission to Amazon to access my credit card other than for the purchases I have made. I sent Amazon an email requesting that this service be ceased but I never heard back from anyone. I therefore request that you cease my membership with Amazon Prime and refund me the $20.97 because I have never used the service and did not give permission for you to access my credit card. As you have my credit card details I would appreciate if you would refund the $20.97 back onto my credit card. Thank you. … read more
