I have an issue with Instagram but haven't given any details…

Ok, those emails do expire quickly and most people do not notice that they give you two options on the email 1) is to let you login, the second one is to reset the password. You need to make sure you click on reset password ***** a 5 minutes of getting the email. Lets try requesting an email again for a password ***** If not we can try something else.

Ok, no problem, we can get that unlocked.

On the login screen, click on "Get help Logging in" Enter your email and click on "Need more help?" Follow the instructions to request a "Security Code".   This is different than a link to reset your password.

Make sure that you select your email address as the place to send the code and follow the instructions on the screen. This will get you unlocked and back in :)

Are you using an android or an iPhone?

On iphone, click on "Need More Help" and then on send security code.

On your computer, you would go to facebook. They are the same login. https://www.facebook.com/help/231208473756221

You would reset your password ***** facebook, once you can login there, then try to login to instagram.

That is ok, once you are logged in, we can boot them out and change that.

I see, Facebook will ask you sometimes for a copy of your ID instead of those things that arent yours. To do that, go to http://facebook.com/hacked and click on account is compromised.

Once you are on your Facebook, change the password. Then go to Instagram with the new password ***** also change the info that belongs to the other person. Make sure everything in your profile is correct.

Ok, did you click on http://facebook.com/hacked and then on compromised account???

You would choose someone got into your account without permission.

After you reset the password, use it to login to Facebook. Update all of the info (take the other persons info and put yours back).

Facebook owns Instagram and they are the same company and use the same login database,

So once you login to facebook, try that same password ***** instagram (after you change it)

Now that I think about it, you are probably timed out for now. You would have to wait 3 hours before it lets you in. Even with the correct info, you would be locked out while you are in time out state.

We should wait 3 hours before trying again. During that time, dont try to login so it does not reset.
