I would like to report a Facebook scam. This was a fake
This was a fake profile of a girl on Facebook that I friended. She told me her name was Rebecca Collins and she said that she was from Hamilton, Ontario Canada and now lives in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. We started talking and she seemed like a down to earth gal. She wanted to get to know me better. We started to talk about our lives,families what we like to do for our hobbies and stuff and she said that she had an interest in me. She asked for my phone number and said she wanted to hook up with me sometime to go out and have a little chat and to meet each other. I said okay we can do that sometime. Sche said that she worked as a model and was at a seminar in Istanbul, Turkey. She said that she would be coming home on Friday after the seminar. And she said that she needed a ride from the airport to her place and asked me for a lift so we can meet in person and I said sure and I asked her what time she would be in Milwaukee if I was able to pick her up. Then on Friday she said that she was stuck at the airport in Istanbul and said she needed $700.00 dollars for a ticket back home and wanted it sent to her via ,Bitcoin. That's when I started to get suspicious!!! I looked at her profile as a 35 year old blond woman in either shorts a sports outfit or a slinky two piece swimsuit. She sent me more pictures of her in two piece swimsuits and she wanted some pictures of me. SoI sent some. I told her that I never send any money on the internet nor to a complete stranger!!! She kept pleading me to help her and giving me this sob story. I almost wanted to help her but I never let my guard down. She kept pleading for me to send some money so I got suspicious. I went to people search and Truthfinder to see if she was real and I found out she wasn't what she said to be. So I told her off and blocked her Both her profile and messenger. I tried to look up her profile again on Facebook and it was taken down. That what I knew it was a scamm!!! So I am here to report it… read more
