This definitely sounds like a scam. First, if they identified themselves as being with "Geek Source," then that has nothing to do with Best Buy. Best Buy's service is called Geek Squad, not Geek Source.
I cannot personally look up your Geek Squad account but you can call the following number and speak with a Geek Squad agent and verify the status of your account:

I just did a very quick check and it looks like others have received scam communications from people identifying themselves as being with "Geek Source." There are a lot of scams going around right now so you definitely want to be careful.
