My pc, with windows10, has not worked since you installed “necessary” updates yesterday. The only info I can get is that the internet is in airplane mode. What gives?

please restart computer and once on the windows login screen follow the below steps

hold down the shift key on the keyboard and while keeping it pressed , click on power button option on lower right corner of screen

then select restart option

keep the shift key pressed till the time you see an advanced options screen

you need to select advanced options and the select system restore option

then choose a date when system was running fine and complete the system restore

once restore completes let me know the status
