Good morning - all my online videos and local videos are green after latest update

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?

Have been having endless issues with 100% disk usage. And now my laptop has been crashing. I updated all drivers and this has been happening, a few hours jnow

Yes all windows updates and driver updates

Well, it's probably too much info, but I absolutely hate Windows 10 I just want my laptop to work

also none of the video players on my browsers work. Same result - green screen

ok, than do the following please

Click start, type in CMD and right click on command prompt and select run as administrator

A black window will open.

Type in it

sfc /scannow

press enter and when it has completed, type in

chkdsk /r

Press enter.

It will give a message "the type of the file system is NTFS cannot lock current drive.

chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts y/n" Say Y, press enter and restart the computer.

Please note, while this normally only takes 10 minutes to run, it can take at times number of hours if windows encounters many issues. If this is occurring it is critical to let this complete as it means you have corruption on the hard drive that it needs to fix. Even if it looks like the scan is not progressing, it is, please just let it run to completion. Windows will then start when it has.

it's 3 months old, and I have probably spent about half the time I've had it trying to get windows to run properly

At the moment, yes - the Adobe suite
But since day 1 I had issues with 100% disk usage. Nothing I did seemed to make a difference. At the moment, it seems to be running okay, but after every update (and there are MANY) my laptop has further issues. The current issue I have is the video being green

Ok, I propose a reinstall of windows, I can step you though this but when you have had nothing but troubles then in my experience this is the best way to go for a long term solution.

Can we do this now?

but the 100% disk usage would give issues when there was NO software on the laptop. I had re-installed windows 4 times, and re-formatted the drive, and have had over 30 remote sessions with Microsoft support. Nothing made a difference. Anyway I battle on with the issue - Just right now I'd like to get the green video re

If you already reinstalled windows then no, it will not

download and install the latest video driver from my link below

Okay, will do that. But as I mentioned - I updated ALL drivers this morning. I had already tried to update this driver and got a message saying teh driver was up to date. But will try this manually

its a hardware fault, if you reinstalled windows already and had all these problems, then its the hardware at fault, not software, and you will need to return it sorry

the only thing left is a reinstall of windows if you did all the repairs I gave you before and you said you did.

If you did the reinstall then it confirms hardware

updates do not effect the video driver. but you go to device manager and see if the option is there on the video card to roll back the driver
