My google contacts in...

My google contacts in my Samsung s8 don't sync with my laptop. I have tried going into settings and set everything to sync and it fails. My calendar and my gmail sync successfully on their own.

Please ensure your Google account (gmail.com) are added in your Setting > Accounts and also ensure Sync Contacts option is ticked (on) on your S8.

Entering Accounts I see the google symbol and next to it is my email address: ***@******.***. I opened the account and it was set "Sync account". I touched the words "Sync Account" and it started to sync. Under Sync Accounts it says "Last synced on 3/16/18 904 AM." I had done this before and there was no change and it still hasn't changed. With all that I have done to my Contacts there has to be an update.

i realized that i the google email address associated with the Contacts that didn't come up when I last looked was not the account . When i switched to the***@******.*** the contacts appeared. I hope that helps.

When you say "manually sync" I presume that is when I touch the words "Sync Account." If so, no it didn't sync.

http://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS.exe

A program called Teamviewer will start downloading to your computer (it does not open a webpage, a blank screen will show but the file is downloading to your computer).

Run the TeamviewerQS.exe download and it shows you an ID and Password.

Give me the ID and Password here please so I can connect

Do not close the program but leave it open else I will not be able to connect

Not yet. Interestingly enough according to my s8 I have 1734 contacts and according to my laptop I have 1735. But far few appear in my s8.

When I first setup the account everything worked properly. Now I don't think that if I create a contact it will. I will try to do so now and let you know if anything happens.

I created a contact without a phone number in the veterinary label and nothing happened. I will add the number. How quickly does it sync. Nothing has happened as of now.I have the 2 account because the fredbear2 was the one that was the original account and i added the Drfredkelner email address to the original account. That didn't seem to make a difference. Should I have contacts in the fredbear2 listing?

On the fredbear2 contacts in your Chrome on your pc, it did show labels, but no contacts in it.

A while ago I had deleted all my contacts in fredbear2. The one that I just entered is the only one there and it sync'd from the s8 to the Chrome on the PC

I dont understand.

Can we please go to settings and pick contacts to display, you probably have All selected, but your list is split between Google and on the device, sometimes called my contacts.

You want them all in Google all the time.

I can't find anything on my phone under Contacts>settings that allows me to select which contacts appear and which don't. I believe that we tried this before.

I went into Settings>apps>contacts and there is nothing in the upper right corner. I then went into Contacts and pressed the three dots in the upper right hand corner. It gave me the choices: Select, Select All, Customize View. Now what?

When I create a Contact on either device it saves to the device upon which it was created. It doesn't seem to sync to the other device and save there.
