I unfastened it for a couple of minutes and ran the computer plugged in, but it didn't seem to have any effect.

Okay, try this. Remove the battery and AC power if connected. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds then reapply power and check to see if you still have the error.

Thank you. When I reapply power after the 30 second power button hold. I should just plug in the AC adapter with the battery still removed?

SLI is only used for linking two graphics cards together. Try rolling back the driver rather than uninstalling it.

Open Device Manager and expand the Display Adapters Section. Right-click your graphics card, choose properties on the Driver Tab, click 'Rollback Driver'

Close Device Manager and restart your computer.

I have used DDU to uninstall the drivers in safe mode. I even crashed my computer uninstalling both graphics cards and had to restore my computer. Only to have the problem still be there.

The laptop has an Integrated intel graphics card and a dedicated Nvidia graphics card.

Try uninstalling your audio driver and reinstall it. I would also disable the integrated graphics card as well.
