Please access BIOS by restarting system and pressing F10 repeatedly as soon as ou see the HP logo.

Check for boot options and let me know if is set to UEFI or LEgacy boot. Also check the sata operation menu and tell me if set to AT, AHCI or other option.

You can also check if the hard drive is being detected in the BIOS menu
