I keep getting this...

I keep getting this error "internet explorer has stopped working" particularly when I try to download protools music program. The program worked fine with protools up to a few weeks ago, but now I keep getting this error message and I cannot get it to work again, can you help me get my protools program working again?

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update Internet Explorer?

I do not remember, I tried to update so many things since I started getting this message, I do not know if explorer was One of them, but I think I updated it recently.

Solution #1:

  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows / websites for now.
  2. Open Control Panel on your computer.
    - If needed, press at the same time the two keys Windows logo and R on the computer's keyboard, then type control then click OK, then the Control Panel window should open.
  3. (Open Network and Internet if available.)
  4. Open Internet Options.
  5. Then click on Delete and delete only temporary internet / website files, and delete.
  6. Click the Advanced tab at the top
  7. Then click option Reset.
  8. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
  9. Click on Close.
  10. Then open Internet Explorer, and keep the recommended settings if prompted.
  11. Then see if it works fine now.
