My Netgear Nighthawk X6...

My Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-band router is slowing down my internet connection from 7/3 to 1.9/.x. How do I fix that? I've downloaded all of the updates, reset to factory specs and reconfigured passwords. It's still horrible.

How are you measuring the speed?

Have you connected to the router with an Ethernet cable to test the speed?

I'm using speedtest to measure. I've plugged directly into the provider's access point and there it's 7/3. Once I put the router between it drops to almost nothing. I have something set wrong in the router or else it's a piece of crap router that just isn't working. I purchased it in January. Internet seemed fine from the time I installed it until last week. Then it became miserably slow and I can't find the problem.

I HATE this new Just Answer format. When Just Answer started, you got an response from a human "now." You're probably in bed in New Jersey yet I have "you" asking me if I want "you" to log on.
