I have lost my Internet connection, but the rest of the house has it, and I have it on my laptop

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand/model and Operating System (OS) of your laptop?

It is my desktop. it is Windows 7, and Asus brand

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Asus? Have you installed any updates recently?

The only thing installed was antivirus (Viper) installed by a technician via internet connection of course. I have tried all of the trouble shooting on the machine and everything says it is OK

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?

How can you if I don't have internet connection? I am typing on a different computer

Your desktop is it hardwired to the router or connected through WiFi?

If connected through WiFi connect an ethernet cable from the router to your desktop.
