Hello, sorry for the delay in response. Before repairing the laptop I would suggest you try a laptop cooler to see if it stops it from overheating. You simply place the laptop on the cooling pad and it should prevent overheating. You can get one of these at any store that sells computer supplies or online, here are a bunch of them https://www.amazon.com/Laptop-Cooling-Pads-External-Fans/b?ie=UTF8&node=2243862011

I would also suggest you buy a can of compressed air and blow any dist away from the vents which may also solve your issue.
