When I open my Skype icon it prompts me to "sign up to Microsoft account (email address or phone)After I enter my email address I get: " this account does not exist"

I am opening Skype using my Google browser

Yes I have Norton but it never obstruct my using of Skype

Because Skype and Microsoft are now working together you will eventually need to merge your Microsoft and Skype accounts to continue using Skype. Once you merge accounts the problem will be resolved. If you do not have a Microsoft account, one will be created for you during the merge process.
