Trying to connect with...

Trying to connect with my son who called me on skype. I can hear the ringtone but when I hit 'accept' nothing happens.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last update Skype?

Christmas Day. And it worked well. He was visiting and the two of us spoke to one another from different rooms in the same house, to ensure it worked.

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Skype?

Opened skype at the appointed time. He rang, I hit Accept, but could only see is the blue dot turning in the circle. The system wanted to open previous conversations. Nothing happened... the dots just kept turning. He rang again, and again I tried Accept but nothing happened. I logged out and completely closed down and rebooted. He was on the phone to me at the time, he could hear it ring and so could I, but we still couldn't connect.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Software Expert to know before I connect you?

I don't know.. what else is there. I've used previous versions of skype and this one is much easier but failed several times.

you can close the automated site popup its basically for more choices and options for our customer who prefer additional service like remote screen sharing and phone call assistance.
