I have a surface book pro. I forgot password ***** I always use pin or face recog. Had an edge problem and accidentally chose an option to use password ***** restart...and this is my problem. I cannot remember password ***** cannot get into windows. Computer was set to local account.... I am currently struggling with 3rd party solutions... I just want to get back into surface...

If you don’t have a Microsoft account and forgot your local account password, you can’t recover it. Instead, you’ll need to reset your PC.

Warning: Following these steps will remove all of your data, programs, and settings.

  • Start your PC and select the Power icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the lock screen.
  • While holding down the Shift key, select Restart.
  • On the Boot options menu, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
  • Your PC will restart and will reset itself.

I cannot...absolutely cannot lose the files on my computer....or the programs installed...

Here is the deal. BestBuy geek got me into safe mode....so I can access all files...and there are password ***** out there....so my main question is...do you know a way in...or not...
