Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?

Haven't removed Laptop from Docking Station in a while. Just noticed today. Tried Updating all Drivers. Turning on and off, removing battery and reinstalling.

Its about 1-2 years old. No I just looked at the Keyboard driver in Settings and it said the correct driver was installed

Please go to Device Manager. Completely remove the keyboard driver and add it again.

there isn't an option to uninstall the driver. Just an option to uninstall the device (Keyboard)

1) Press Windows + R at the same time.

2) Type devmgmt.msc in the box

3) Look for Keyboards, Standard PS/2 Keyboard

4) Right click on it and Uninstall Device.

5) Under Menu, there should be an icon to Scan for Driver changes. Run that.

Please let me know if you tried these. The system will restart twice when we plan to reinstall an existing driver.

OK think I did that correctly. But it restarted only 1 time. When I scanned for Hardware Changes, it re-set the menu options in the Device manager. Keyboard says the PS\2 Keyboard device is working properly. But that 1 key still doesn't work. All other keys work.

Okay. We have completed the basic thing that is required. I guess, we need to replace the keyboard. A key board might have gone faulty in case water entered to the computer accidentally or due to sudden Power flow.

Yes. How old is the laptop again? Do you have an extended warranty? You can buy the same from Amazon at a lower cost. Please check.

I do at home. Have a wireless keyboard. I’ll have to check if the ? Key works on it. If so-it shouldn’t be a driver issue. Just a bad keyboard.

U checked and the wireless keyboard ?/ key works fine. Looks like it’s just the factory keyboard. I bought it in June 2016.
