Have WIN 10 Pro...

Have WIN 10 Pro 64 bit installed. Was having problem with an append tech support asked me to go into MSCONFIG and select Diagnostic Startup. After reboot, normal start screen appeared, but without password ***** window. Hit return and start screen dimmed and displayed three icons lower right. Network icon had red x. Can't get out of this. Cannot get to Safe mode either Have ASUS A88X-Pro MB. Has UEFI bios. Changed Fast Startup to normal with no change.

Do this now:

Reboot the computer; once at the logon screen, click on the Power icon at the bottom-right and then HOLD down the Shift key on your keyboard and click "restart."

Does this bring up a blue "Choose an option" screen?

No. Tried this several times. Goes back to normal login screen w/o password

OK, logon to the account now, and then press CTRL + ALT + DEL. Are you able to start the Task Manager now?

OK, earlier did you make sure to keep holding down the Shift key while clicking Power > Restart?
