Sorry I sent message before complete. I cannot access "Message" on Facebook?

Technician's Assistant: When could you last open your Facebook?

Technician's Assistant: Did you recently update your software or Operating System (OS)?

I am not sure but I dont think so. This has always been the case but it hasnt concerned me. Recently though am receiving more Messages via Facebook but cannot open and it keeps telling me that my device cannot access.
