Have you already attempted right click on the desktop, clicking Display Settings, and changing both the size percentage, and the resolution? I understand the print is enlarged, but the distortion you speak of makes it seem like it may be a hardware issue, however it is difficult to diagnose without more detail on the exact distortion or seeing it myself.
