My keyboard will type one character then not type.

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?

Toshiba C55 windows 10

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your C55? What have you tried so far?

1 day, I have went to the keyboard settings Reinstalled windows 10 and rebooted my laptop and I'm still having the same problems

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Phone Expert to know before I connect you?

I run a computer store...and I would bet anything that when he replaced the HD...he knocked the ribbon cable loose from the keyboard

Well, first of all the technician who fixed it has a 4.9 rating out of 25 reviews. I don't know anybody who had bad experience with his service.

I have been doing this 22 years and also have a very high rating...but no one is perfect (I have personally made the mistake before)...so I am not sure what your point is

Step 1...ensure that the ribbon cable is seated correctly...the laptop will have to be dismantled to do that (which is why I think it best he do it)

You JUST had a technician remove and replace a HD from this unit correct? (do you know how to remove the hard drive?)

OK...there in lies the issue...most hard drives now require you removing all the plastic around the laptop...and try not to mess with the ribbon cables and you disassemble it all...hence my recommendation

They actually hide the HD underneath the motherboard now...and it is very easy to hit a ribbon cable
