I am getting the message "your start menu is not working, etc" Please help me solve this problem.

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand/model/Operating System (OS) of your computer?

I have an HP Envy laptop and I am using Windows 10.

Technician's Assistant: When did you purchase your Hewlett Packard? What troubleshooting have you tried?

The laptop is approx. 3 years old. I have tried using safe mode as a solution, but I still get the message each time i click on the start menu.
