Can't send email using mozilla firefox, after an update.....now asking for a password ***** we've never used

Technician's Assistant: When did you last reset your username and password?

Recently set after stating we forgot it..........

We have always been able to send and receive emails on mozilla firefox, and have never had to use a password, which we never set up on our desktop pc....now we can't reply to emails
