It's not my computer. I just got the new iphone8 and need help getting my email set up (Gmail and outlook accounts)

Select the account which you need to configure (tap gmail for gmail configuration / Exchange for outlook configuration )

There is no Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars in Settings on the iphone8

  1. Open the Settings App on your new iPhone 8
  2. Choose the option titled Accounts & Passwords
  3. Choose Google to add your Gmail account, and choose Outlook.com to add your Outlook account
  4. That's it! You should be done in no time!

this isn't Outlook, it's actually Exchange. trying to get the username part.

Gmail was fine, stuck with Exchange now.

There is actually an Exchange option as well, it should be the second one down under iCloud in the list. See here.

Yeah, is it an employer email address? What is the email address and I will see if I can dig up the info you need.

If it is a custom domain(like an employer), then they will almost always need to give you the IMAP information (which has both incoming and outgoing server info). But, in some cases I can get it for you.
