I installed acrobat reader DC on a new laptop running Windows 10. Whenever I open a .pdf file, I get an error: Cannot connect to a DDE server & the .pdf files don't open.
JA: Have you tested the connections by doing a ping utility test?
Customer: Yes, I ping
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes, I ping'ed yahoo.com and got replies--no lost packets.
JA: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't know what to ask except why my .pdf files don't open & I get error messages "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server."

Hi,
I'm sorry about the issue. If you open the program icon called Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (don't open a .pdf file for now), does the program open? Or does it give any error or message?
